A Message from Dr. James Chen

President & CEO, Chairman of the Board and Founder

I started Mascon 30 years ago to help US and Asian businesses work together and to build a company based on service, quality results and lasting relationships. Now, I am proud to say that my vision has become reality.

Today, Mascon is a global company with fully staffed offices in Taipei, Taiwan; Beijing, Chengdu, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Shenyang and Guangzhou, China; and Hong Kong. We have a multinational, multilingual staff consisting mostly of electrical, mechanical and chemical engineers.

We have lasting relationships with many Fortune 500 customers , relationships built on trust, service and quality output, the core values underpinning all we do here at Mascon. This strong, unifying culture gives our customers confidence they will encounter the same standard of excellence in every project they bring us.

As I look at the growth over the past three decades, I am extremely proud of what we have achieved, and even more excited about our outlook for an equally promising future. I am most proud to know we are able to help our customers build the products that enable them to succeed in a demanding marketplace. We’ve done this by working collaboratively, being inventive and never compromising on quality. Our reward is the confidence of our partners. Our evidence is repeat business from satisfied customers.

Dr. James Chen holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering, MS in Engineering and MS in Physics from Northeastern University and a BS from Fu Jen University in Taiwan

Executive Team

John R. Chen, Vice President China Operations, Chairman – Mascon China

John oversees Mascon's China operations. With more than 15 years of experience, John's steady leadership has been instrumental in leading the company to 5-fold growth in the last eight years and in developing a service delivery platform that has delighted customers worldwide. Prior to joining Mascon, John was Co-Founder and Partner of Nextwave, a boutique technology incubator and investment firm based in New York City. John has also been a consultant with Diamond Technology Partners and Ernst & Young. John holds a BS from Renssalear Polytechnic Institute where he received the Thomas Alva Edison Entrepreneur of the Year award.

Linda Rizzo, General Manager and Director of Sales & Marketing

For the past 11 years, Linda has been overseeing operations at Mascon headquarters. With nearly 30 years of industry related experience in sales, marketing and operations Linda's unique skill set enables her to work with clients as if she were an extension of their own organization. Applying her hands-on approach, Linda as created systems enabling her team at Mascon to provide custom order, scheduling and inventory programs tailored to meet each customer's specific needs. Prior to working at Mascon, Linda was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for AJS Controls in upstate NY, and was instrumental in transforming the business from a rep organization to a full service contract manufacturer specializing in PCB assembly, injection molding and assembly.

Jeff Miller, National Sales Manager

Jeff joined Mascon in 2011 with more than 20 years experience in direct outside sales. His hands-on approach, perseverance and follow through ensure that our customers are properly cared for with every project they bring to Mascon. Prior to joining Mascon Jeff was President, and co-owner of Titus Management Group, an independent sales organization representing low voltage security, life safety and Electro-mechanical door hardware products to the security, data communications, electrical and door hardware industries.

Alex Song, Director of Engineering

Alex has been integral in leading the engineering team at Mascon to ensure the product quality and engineering services provided to our customers is world class. His efforts have created a dedicated team of engineers trained in delivering high quality product and decision making to meet and exceed customer needs . Prior to joining Mascon in 2005, Alex was research scientist and adjunct assistant professor at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Alex holds a Ph.D. and BS in Mechanical Engineering as well as a Masters Degree in Material Science.

Michael H. Chen, Board Member

Michael brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in a wide range of industries. Prior to joining Mascon, Michael was the President of Asia for Caesars Entertainment Corporation, the world's largest destination entertainment company where he led Caesars’ entry into Asia. Before Caesars, Michael was President & CEO of Enkata, a Silicon Valley-based enterprise analytics software company selling to Fortune 500 insurance, telecommunications, and financial services companies. Michael was also a consultant with McKinsey & Company where he advised major multi-national corporations on growth strategies, sales force effectiveness and operations. Michael holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and an AB from Harvard College.
