5. What is Mascon's business philosophy? Mascon’s mission is to make its customers more competitive in the markets they serve. We significantly reduce your costs by producing piece parts, full products, assembles and/or subassemblies. Our customers achieve these results by employing our high quality low cost contract manufacturing services.
7. What products and/or services does Mascon offer? Mascon has developed a wide range of capabilities supplying many types of products. Some of these offerings include: die casting and investment casting, custom injection molding and tools, machining (CNC, screw machining and metal stamping) bare pc boards. 9. Who are Mascon's customers? The real question should be who isn't...we sell to major Fortune 500 companies – for example Honeywell, General Electric, Black & Decker and many more industrial and consumer companies (large and small) throughout the United States.
11. Is Mascon a trading company? Mascon is an established operation that understands Asian business customs. We may seem like a trading company – but have much more to offer with our team of engineers, our dedications to quality and our warehousing capabilities.
13. How does Mascon guarantee product quality? Utilizing state of the art inspection equipment and standards, Mascon is committed to providing the highest quality possible. Not only does our sourcing team in Asia do initial (and then random) factory inspections, here at HQ we have the latest equipment to insure we can corroborate the results from the factory.
15. Are down payments and letters of credit required? Like most companies – tooling down payments are required (injection molding tools – die casting tools etc.) However, we are a US company conducting business during US hours. With an approved credit application – terms are Net 30 days.
17. Are my requirements too small to source offshore? This is a tough question. Although we do not specialize in proto-type and quick turn requirements – we do not require you to purchase tens of thousands as a minimum to start. We specialize in midsize production requirements.
19. How does Mascon pick the correct factory for my product? Mascon has been sourcing for over 26 years. We have qualified hundreds of manufacturers in six Pacific Rim countries. We know which ones can meet your needs and have the clout to provide you with the highest quality at competitive prices.
21. Who am I buying from? You are buying from Mascon. Most products quoted are F.O.B. Woburn, MA. Therefore, there are no letter of credit and customs issues to deal with.
23. How can my product/design be protected? To begin the process – first and foremost Mascon and you sign a mutual non-disclosure agreement. Upon receipt of your electronic prints, we “clean” them of your name so to insure your anonymity. Our entire staff is required to sign a non-disclosure agreement as well as each and every factory we deal with.? Everything within our power is done to the best of our ability.
25. Am I required to take a one year's requirement? No. Mascon offers multiple choices for you in receiving your product. I am sure one of our plans will meet your savings requirements.
